BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Evanston Youth Club is a Private, Non-Profit Organization Governed by a Board of Directors.

Holly Slade-West, CEO

Holly is an Arizona native where she attended and graduated form Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors degree in Public Health and a Child Development Associates. She came to Evanston in 2009 and started the Evanston Youth Club for Boys and Girls in 2014. She has an awesome husband Kenny, three beautiful kids Annalee, Bentley, and Brooklynn. She also has an amazing mother, siblings, extended family, and is "mom" to over 300 adopted club kids. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing basketball, watching her kids participate in their activities, working out with friends, she loves music, and being at "the club".

Kevin Kallas, President

Kevin grew up in Evanston and has been on the EYC Board of Directors since the beginning in 2014. His career is in Banking and he is currently with Buffalo Federal Savings Bank. Kevin is married to Michelle and has four kids, and seven grand kids. He enjoys dirt biking, music, and doing anything outdoors.

Loretta R Howieson, Member

Loretta attended the University of Wyoming where she received a bachelors degree in Journalism in 1997. She then attended Law school at the University of Wyoming and graduated in 2000 with her JD degree. She is an attorney in Evanston for Uinta County, and has been on the EYC board of directors since 2014. She enjoys cross country skiing, outdoor sports, going to the gym, golfing, and traveling. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Jeremy and sons Schyler, and Keegan. 

Amelia Rutner, Member

Amelia was born and raised in Evanston, WY. Amelia has been a member of this community for her entire life: working at the Uinta County Courthouse for over 40 years, volunteering on several boards (including UC Veteran’s Board and Wyoming Community Foundation Board) while raising her son Hunter in Evanston. Beyond her time spent in service to the community of Evanston, Amelia enjoys spending time with her closest friends, hiking, yoga and walking outside year round.

Wendy Schuler, Member

Wendy is an alumni of the University of Wyoming where she was a five sport starter in volleyball, basketball, track, softball, and field hockey. She was selected for the Pan Am Basketball Trials in 1974 and the U.S. Olympic Basketball trials in 1976 and 1980. She was also nominated for the Kodiak all-american basketball team. She is the first female certified official in Wyoming and the first female coach of male athletes in Wyoming. She has been on the board of the EYC since 2014. She retired from the school district and now serves as a Wyoming State Senator. She enjoys spending time with her husband Rick, her four children, and 2 grandchildren.
