Meet The Board of Directors

Holly Slade-West

CEO

Holly is an Arizona native where she attended and graduated form Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors degree in Public Health and a Child Development Associates. She came to Evanston in 2009 and started the Evanston Youth Club for Boys and Girls in 2014. She has an awesome husband Kenny, three beautiful kids Annalee, Bentley, and Brooklynn. She also has an amazing mother, siblings, extended family, and is "mom" to over 300 adopted club kids. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing basketball, watching her kids participate in their activities, working out with friends, she loves music, and being at "the club".

Kevin Kallas

President

Kevin grew up in Evanston and has been on the EYC Board of Directors since the beginning in 2014. He was a Banker for 18 years, and has worked with the public in our community for over 35 years. He is married to his awesome and creative wife Michelle. They have four kids, and eleven grand kids. He enjoys dirt biking, doing anything outdoors, and he loves to DJ at sporting events and weddings. Kevin enjoys being a part of the Youth Club because he wants to provide better lives for the youth in our community, and make a difference.

Mark Anderson

Vice President

Mark was born and raised in Evanston. He has help start several business, has an entrepreneurial mind, and always wants to become better. He is currently finishing a finance degree. He is married to Jocelyn who is a Special Ed teacher at DMS. He has six children two of them are in college, two in high school, one in middle school, and one in elementary school. He enjoys camping with his family, being outdoors, hunting in the fall, serving others, traveling with his wife, and trying new food in new places. Mark wants to be involved with the Youth Club because he loves this community and believes it is extremely important to invest in our youth! They are the future of our community. 

Loretta Howieson Kallas

Vice President

Loretta was born and raised in Carbon County, Wyoming where she attended and graduated from Rawlins High School in 1993. She then attended the University of Wyoming where she received a bachelors degree in journalism in 1997. She then attended Law school at the University of Wyoming and graduated in 2000 with her JD degree. In 2007 she moved to Evanston from Cheyenne and has resided here since then. She is an attorney for Uinta County, and has been on the EYC board of directors since 2014. She enjoys doing anything outdoors especially cross country skiing, golfing, kayaking, and traveling. She also enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband Jeremy and sons Schyler, and Keegan. She serves on the Youth Club board because she believes our youth are our future and our most valuable resource as a society.

Jesse Lind

Jesse was born in Vernal, Utah and moved to Green River, Wyoming when he was in fourth grade. When he was a freshman in high school his family moved to Evanston. Most of his family lives in the Rocky Mountain region. He and his wife Jennifer have four kids Braxton, Ryker, Madison, and Hendricks. Jesse graduated second in his class from Evanston High School then attended Westminster College where he graduated with a bachelors degree in business finance. Jesse enjoys anything that involves competition, but golf is his number one favorite way to spend his time. He also enjoys basketball, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and doing whatever his kids are doing. Jesse attended one meeting for the Youth Club and was hooked ever since, it is the greatest cause we have in Evanston.

Emily Dennis

Nathan was born and raised in Evanston. He attended the University of Utah and graduated with a bachelors degree in economics. He went to Law school at BYU where he received his JD degree. He and his wife Laura have three kids.
He enjoys skiing, boating, and hiking. Nathan is involved with the Youth Club because he has seen the tremendous benefit the Youth Club provides to the community.

Emily is from El Centro, California but spent most of her youth in Evanston. She and her husband Justin have three kids. She has a bachelors degree in journalism and PR and a masters degree in education/sped. She is a special ed teacher and has been working in the education field for thirteen years. She enjoys working with youth and helping them reach their potential.

Amelia Rutner

David was born and raised in Evanston. He and his wife Wendy have four daughters that are married and they have eight grandchildren. David spent 29 years in law enforcement and enjoyed that time working with young people. David loves Evanston and has been involved with many organizations as a volunteer. He enjoys supporting the local sports, spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He also likes to hunt, fish, and recently has been learning how to 3D print. David believes it is important to invest in our youth because they are the future of Evanston. 

Amelia was born and raised in Evanston. She has been a member of this community for her entire life: working at the Uinta County Courthouse for over 40 years, volunteering on several boards (including UC Veteran’s Board and Wyoming Community Foundation Board) while raising her son Hunter in Evanston. Beyond her time spent in service to the community of Evanston, Amelia enjoys spending time with her closest friends, hiking, yoga and walking outside year round.
